ASHES INTO RINGS
Handling your loved one’s ashes can be difficult, so we make this process as simple as possible for you. We can provide an order pack which contains everything you need to collect the ashes and send them to us in a Freepost returns envelope. We only need a teaspoon of ashes to make your memorial jewellery.
We have a full custom design service for those looking for a completely bespoke ashes ring.
FAQs FOR ASHES MEMORIAL RINGS
Half a teaspoon is plenty to make one of our ashes rings; however, we ask for a teaspoon of ashes to keep things simple. All unused ashes are returned to you with your completed ring. Should you have less than half a teaspoon, dont worry; we can make our rings with any amount of ashes you have.
Yes, it is possible to put ashes into a ring to keep a loved one close to you at all times. We have over 100 different designs of ashes rings, and these are made using various methods.
The first method we use is to make a glass gemstone with ashes and then set this into one of our ring designs. The Glass can be clear or opaque, and we have over 16 colours to choose from. Ashes are visible within our glass gemstones.
Another method we use, which we pioneered, is to add the ashes to a hidden compartment within the ashes ring. Ashes are not visible using this process, making this method a very discreet style of ashes ring. The small compartment within the ashes ring is permanently sealed using our specialist process, which keeps the ashes permanently secure inside the ring; we then engrave the compartment with a special symbol so that you know precisely where the ashes are. The ashes are not added or mixed into the precious metal as this will destabilise the metal and ultimately create an inferior product.
Memorial rings for ashes bring lots of comfort and are incredibly discreet, so no one would ever know you are wearing a loved one's ashes, allowing you to keep your tribute as private as you wish.
The price of cremation rings for ashes depends on the materials and styles chosen. Our ashes rings start at £135 for our stylish stacking ashes ring, and our diamond ashes rings start at £245 for the diamond bubble eternity ring, which contains 11 diamonds. All of our jewellery is made from precious metals, including silver, gold and platinum. Silver is the cheapest option, and platinum is the most expensive option. We can create rings for ashes in line with any budget, no matter how small or large.
The ashes are not turned into a ring. Instead, they are added to a glass gemstone or included in a small hidden compartment within the jewellery. When designing your cremation ashes ring, consider if you want to create a family heirloom or a simple memorial piece of jewellery. If you hope to create a lasting memorial and family heirloom, including a diamond in the piece makes sense.
The diamond is not made from ashes, so it will retain its value better than a diamond made from ashes and also cost significantly less. Glass gemstone ashes rings are an excellent option for creating a memorial ring, especially if you want to see the ashes. Glass is more suitable for memorial rings than a material such as resin. Resin is a plastic that will break down over time, so please be wary of buying a ring made from resin.
These are all different words to describe the same piece of jewellery, an Ashes Ring.
If a piece of jewellery contains the ashes of a loved one, it is often referred to as a cremation ring for ashes. Sometimes, a mourning ring or bereavement ring simply refers to a ring worn to replace a wedding band while in mourning. It doesn't always contain the ashes of a loved one. This may be the only option if a loved one is buried rather than cremated. Only cremation jewellery rings for ashes contain a compartment securely holding ashes or a glass gemstone with ashes.
We have a few different options for creating memorial rings for ashes.
The first method involves adding the ashes to a glass gemstone. Our skilled artists create a glass gemstone that contains cremation ashes and then spend three days shaping, hardening and polishing the gemstone so it can be placed in an ashes ring setting.
The second method involves creating the ashes ring from precious metals such as silver, gold or platinum. We hand-make every piece with a custom hidden compartment. After hallmarking the ashes ring, ashes are added to the jewellery, and then the compartment is permanently sealed. We can then engrave the compartment with a special symbol, which we call a chamber marker. For diamond rings, we would then place the chosen stone in the setting to complete the piece. We can also add the ashes to a charm that can be attached to a ring.
